About Me

Dalila Corporán, MS., LHMC

Prior to returning back to school to seek a career in Mental Health, Dalila's experience was in the corporate world.  Dalila worked as an adminstrator, management and as executive assistant when she decided to change careers to a field she was passionate about.

Dalila has been in the Mental Health field since 2012. As a single mother, she earned two Bachelor of Science Degrees, the first in Organizational Management and the other in Psychology both from Palm Beach Atlantic University - Orlando Campus.  She continued her education and earned a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling also at Palm Beach Atlantic University.  She is a member of the Florida Counseling Association, Florida Association for Counselor Education and Supervision and Florida Mental Health Counselors Association (FMHCA).

Her experience in the mental health field has included Targeted Case Management, Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Therapist, Individual Counseling, Group Counseling, Psycho-Educational Groups, Substance Abuse/Mental Health Residential Programs, Florida Department of Corrections (DOC) and an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community.

In addition to providing a safe and comfortable space for her clients, Dalila believes in the importance of building a strong therapeutic alliance. This means that she works to establish a trusting and supportive relationship.  A place, where one feels heard, understood, and validated. This relationship is the foundation for effective therapy and can help clients feel more comfortable exploring difficult emotions and experiences. As a person whose family has struggled with severe mental health and substance abuse, she acquires the ability to acknowledge the importance of addressing the stigma surrounding mental health, particularily in minorites. She believes everyone deserves access to quality mental health care and that seeking therapy should be seen as a sign of strength, and bravery. By normalizing mental health, she hopes to help reduce the shame and stigma that can prevent people from seeking the help they need. Ultimately, her goal is to help her clients achieve their goals and improve their lives by simply learning to love and accept themselves holisticly.  She is committed to supporting her clients every step of the way; together, to work towards a peaceful, healthier, and more fulfilling life.

Dalila loves to spend time with her 5 boys and her mother, she also enjoys teaching, reading, learning, solo trips and exploring new things and people.

A Note From Dalila

Hello and welcome.

I’m Dalila Corporán, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Qualified Supervisor, and someone who deeply believes in the power of healing, growth, and rewriting your story.

I entered the mental health field with a deep desire to understand human behavior, family dynamics, and the emotional patterns that often hold us back. Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals from all walks of life; people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity shifts, family conflict, addiction, and more.

My passion lies in helping others break cycles, challenge limiting beliefs, and embrace the version of themselves they were always meant to be. I believe that therapy, education, and support can spark real change, not just for individuals, but for families and generations to come.

Whether you're here seeking counseling, supervision, or guidance for your professional journey, I’m honored to be a part of this step forward. This path isn't always easy, but it is always worth it.

If you're ready to do the work, I’m here to walk beside you.  â€‹

You are NOT alone!!

Sincerely,

Dalila Corporán, MS., LMHC, QS
